For the first event in the Labyrinth Project sponsored by the Summer Sabbatical Group from St. Anne’s, a temporary canvas labyrinth will be set up in the Parish Hall during the last week in September, both for scheduled programs and for individual use.
A labyrinth, whether portable or permanent, is an ancient tool for walking in meditation and prayer, simulating the spiritual path that is unique to each walker. The experience, when approached with openness, offers the power to guide healing, to clarify direction, and to bring calm to the storms of transitions and the stresses of life. As the body moves slowly through the labyrinth path, the mind finds quiet; the soul finds solace, peace, and rest in God.
Scheduled events are:
- PreYC program on Wednesday, September 28 at 6 p.m.
- Adult program and walk on Thursday, September 29 at 7 p.m.
- EYC program on Sunday, October 2 at 5 p.m.
Access for individual use of the labyrinth can be scheduled through the church office with Emily at email@example.com or by calling 229-382-7505. For questions or if you would like to serve on the Sabbatical Group for this or future labyrinth projects, contact Rev. Ellen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
