Why Is It Called The Open Door?
Back when St. Anne’s met in their now historic chapel on the corner of 4th and Central, the little wooden church had a reputation for keeping its doors open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. St. Anne’s came to be known as the “Church of the Open Doors.” Although a few run-ins with vandalism over the years have now caused the physical doors to be closed when not in use, we still like to think of St. Anne’s as a church of “open doors” in all the more important ways. Here we hope you will find love, welcome, and acceptance to be the norm, never the exception.
