St. Anne’s youth hang out together at church, take mission trips to far off places, pray, play, eat pizza, serve the Lord in worship, talk about real life, support one another in friendship, and help each other find God.
Serving in Worship
At St. Anne’s we believe every young person should have a Sunday ministry. Acolytes assist the clergy in serving the altar on Sundays. Children and youth in 2nd through 12th grades are eligible to acolyte. Training takes place regularly through the year.
Young people can also train to serve as Lectors who read the scripture lessons or Ushers who distribute bulletins and assist people with finding seats.
Wednesday Night EYC
On Wednesday nights youth in 6th-12th grades get together upstairs in the Ministry Center for food, fellowship, games, service, prayer, conversation, and compline. Check our Event Calendar for Sunday School details.
Sunday School
On Sundays after worship, St. Anne’s youth gather upstairs in the Ministry Center to grab a coffee, talk about the scriptures of the day, and find God in our daily lives.
Confirmation
Youth in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in confirmation classes, an opportunity to grow in their relationship with God and to make a mature, public affirmation of their faith in Christ. Classes take place annually in time for the Bishop’s visitation.
Diocesan Youth Events
Honey Creek is our diocesan camp and conference center, located on the Georgia coast near Jekyll Island. Among many other programs, they host a youth summer camp. Campers of all faith backgrounds are welcome to attend.
New Beginnings is an annual retreat designed for youth in grades 6-9. During the weekend, participants meet peers from across the diocese, enjoy skits, listen to talks, participate in small group activities, and talk about God, family, friends, and more.
Happening is a renewal weekend for youth in grades 10-12 from across the Diocese of Georgia. The retreat occurs several times a year. It is planned entirely by a team of high school youth and involves fun, games, sharing, surprises, worship, music, and more.
