Too many people spend too much time trying to keep up with others’ sins. Putting people in categories. Watching to see who slips up. Carrying all that righteous anger. It must be exhausting. But that’s not what Jesus wants for us. He loves us despite our faults, has given us grace, and has made us ambassadors of reconciliation. A lot of people–including many of his own followers–believe that’s too good to be true. That’s why grace is always a scandal.
