Palm Sunday is a day of contradictions and spiritual whiplash. A parade becomes a death march. Hosannas turn to “crucify him!” Against all reason, Jesus goes through those contradictions today to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. The Lord of life becomes obedient even to death, and nothing is ever the same again.
