Most of us want to think Jesus is somehow innocent or ignorant of human politics . . . or at least above it all. Spoiler alert: he is above it all, not because he is unaware, but because he is the King of Kings. Jesus sees our political machinations–from the wars of the world’s petty tyrants to the squabbles of our private lives–and in the end, the King will have the final word.
